| Why: | In this talk, we will describe and demo an autonomous wheelchair project whose purpose is to provide patients who have difficulties in operating traditional wheelchairs a mode of independent mobility. This project is being developed with clinical trials at Boston's Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and advised by Professor Audrey St.John in collaboration with Dr. Dan Barry and Dr. William Kennedy at MobileRobots. The MHC team's responsibilities include usability evaluation and modification for a hospital setting. |
